Straight into the Stoke-on-Trent Central Library this morning.  Got signed in to the Local History Section and set up with a fiche reader.  We had quite a bit of trouble navigating around the fiche and probably looked at 40 to get 3 certificates!!

After having a disagreement about how to proceed we went and had some lunch.  While having lunch we decided to abandon the library for the afternoon and drive around to the places we were we know the family lived.  We wandered around from about 1400 to 1800 and found quite a few churches where people may have been christened.

Home and had some dinner.

We are going to do a bit of research tonight and maybe return to the library tomorrow.
