Went back to the Library this morning.  Looking for more Smiths, Daniels and Holdings.  Found the Daniels and Holdings, but the Smiths proved pretty elusive!  We couldn’t find any of their christenings.  The staff in the Local History Section helped us a lot and in the end suggested that maybe the Smiths were Methodist as the Methodist Church was not required lodge their records with the registry.  She also said that it was common practice in the Methodist church to christen all the children together after the last one was born.

We headed of about mid-day to look for a map of UK counties for Jude.  Went to the two bookshops suggested and they didn’t have anything.  It was quite a good walk around town.

Went to Moorcroft pottery so Jude could get some post cards.

Popped into the Museum café for a bowl of soup for lunch.  Then went to M & S for food and home about 1530.
