Relatively slow start this morning.  Then off to St Martins Talke because I forgot to get the coordinates when we were there last time, luckily it is on the way to where we were going to stay in Wales.  We also we would go to Dunkirk in Talke because that was where Edmund Smith was born, once again on our way.  There only seemed to be farms where Dunkirk was supposed to be.

On the road again, while driving Jude spotted a sign to an antiques fair.  So, we turned off and headed toward it.  We were just about to give up when we came across it out in the middle of nowhere!  A number of large warehouses full of old stuff.  We wandered through several then had lunch at the café, then wandered through a few more.  The off again and back on track.

A little way down the road we saw a sign to The Secret Bunker, so we followed the signs to that and found ourselves at a cold war bunker that was to be activated in the event of a nuclear attack on Britten.  It was a well laid out museum with the rooms set up as they would have been at the time.  There were a number of great videos playing.  After looking around for about an hour we headed off again.

The NavMan got us back on track towards out accommodation for the next 7 nights.  On the way we popped into Wrexham to find a supermarket to get some groceries.  We pulled into a farmer’s shop that turned out to be mostly frozen food.  We picked up what we wanted and once again headed off to the accommodation.

When we were less than a mile from home we were supposed to turn up a lane, but it had a Road Closed sign on it and cones across it.  So, we kept driving along the road and took the next turning that the NavMan suggested.  Only to get to the other end of the lane and find a Road Closed sign.  Hang, we took a life in our hands and headed down the lane, found the turnoff in to the farm we were to stay at (Jude wasn’t to keen on the track into the farm).  Finally, we found the cottages.  It turns out ours is 3 stories.  Kitchen sitting room on the ground floor, half way up the stairs loo and shower, bedroom up the top with an interesting bed.
