Went for a drive to the Forest of Marston Vale.  Its actually an area where clay was mined in the past and they are creating lakes and forests to rehabilitate the area.  We started to walk around the lake (2Km) but it started to rain so we went back to the car.  We saw a church in the distance and decided to have a look.  It turned out to be St Marys, Marston and it had a very interesting architecture and graveyard.

We stopped and had lunch on a bench in the churchyard.

Had a quiet afternoon

Found out at dinner that the building we are staying in was the Sergeants Mess of RAF Marston during World War 2 and that it was named after Reginald Joseph Mitchell the designer of the Spitfire.
