Slow start this morning.  Left the hotel about 1045 and walked (I wanted to get a free electric scooter each, but Jude wasn’t too keen) along the bank of the river down to Clark Quay.  There are a great many eating and drinking establishments along the way.
We then climbed up the hill at Fort Canning (saw a squirrel and a dead rat along the way) and went to the Battle Box, and underground bunker used during World War Two and is where the Allies signed the surrender to the Japanese.

We then went into Clark Quay on the other side of the river, had some lunch at a little restaurant, then headed back up river to the hotel.  Along the way we saw boat collecting rubbish from the river and quite a few different varieties of fish (including gold fish and carp).
We got back to the hotel about 1430 and had a quiet afternoon.  Once again it was a very hot and humid day.
