This morning we headed down to the Local History Section in Rochdale at 1000.  What a day, we went through the parish registers and turned up quite a few Maskew baptisms and a couple of marriages in both Rochdale and Todorden.  It took us from 1000 to 1700 to get through most of what we wanted, although finding details of deaths or burials was a bit difficult.  We were give the Lancashire Birth Deaths & Marriages web site address, we will use it to investigate further when we get home.

Did a bit of shopping and had a look at the Rochdale Town Hall.

Rochdale must have been quite a well off place in the past there are some magnificent buildings and parks around the town.
